I'm joining Sunday Favorites hosted by Chari at Happy to Design. Please stop by and wish her a "Happy Anniversary" and enter her very generous give-away!

Sunday Favorites is a Sunday meme designed to give bloggers a chance to share a post from the past. Chari figured why couldn't we just copy and paste one of our favorite past posts that we had already spent alot of time and effort preparing and share them once again. Thus...Sunday Favorites was born! So now you know why your viewing a post that I just recently posted. I know you thought I was crazy...

So without further a do... here is my post again:

I thought I would share some pictures of angels that are scattered around my home. My husband surprised me with my first cherub angel and I loved it so much he went back to the store and bought me a second one. Before I knew it I had a nice collection started...

My sister Laura bought me the sweet angel that is laying on top of my dresser in the guest bedroom. I think I bought myself the other angel with the harp that is standing on the same dresser. On the nightstand is a cherub angel...Do you think I might have a thing for angels? I also have the same cherub angel in my bathroom on my vanity and one more statue of two angels on my wicker stand. One is playing the flute and the other is playing a harp. I almost forgot the other angel on my mantel, my sister Cheryl bought that one for me, it's a tea light, I love the glow it gives off at night.

I'm am blessed with all the "ANGEL'S" in my life and I send my blessings to you.

Please be sure to visit Chari at Happy to Design and join in the party!

Show and Tell Friday...

Welcome To My Third Show and Tell Friday hosted by Cindy at Romantic Home.

I thought I would show you a few pictures of my mantle decorated for spring. I just love the adorable grouping of the three birdhouses I used. They are all different heights so it makes the display more interesting. I especially love the smaller birdhouse with the tin roof coverd with vines, leaves and a pink flower. I added a sweet tin bird that I found at JoAnn Fabrics. The little birds sitting ontop of the grapevine nests were purchased at Michaels. I just loved the crackle finish on these birds, they look vintage. If you come a little closer you will see the tiny cloche with the birds nest and roses inside of it. It is so cute, I just had to buy it when I saw it last year. At the left end of the mantle is a boxwood topiary, a Valerie Parhill candle topped with a Yankee Candle shade and few more birds that I found at the Dollar Store. I love the twinkle of the candles as the sun sets each evening. I hope you enjoy your little peak of my mantle. Happy Spring, Happy Summer, it's on it's way!
Please be sure to stop by and visit Cindy at Romantic Home and thank her for hosting "Show and Tell" Friday!

Patriots' Day Tablescape...

Patriots' Day is a civic holiday in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the state of Maine, which was originally a part of Massachusetts. It was created to pay homage to the military skirmishes which marked the turning point in the long struggle for independence between the American Colonies and England. Traditionally, Patriots' Day was celebrated on the 19th of April, in honor of the Battles of Lexington and Concord, the first battles of the American Revolutionary War, fought on this date in 1775. In recent years, however, Patriots' Day has been observed on the third Monday of every April, thereby providing the residents with a three-day holiday weekend.

Since Patriots' Day was this past Monday I decided to do my tablescape in honor of this Massachusetts Holiday.

Please be sure to stop by and visit Susan at betweennapsontheporch who host's Tablescape Thursdays.

I began by covering my table with a red table cloth for a punch of color. I layered my white ironstone dinner plates from JC Penney with blue and white Royal Stafford plates I found at TJ Maxx, a few years ago. The red scallop salad bowl is also from JC Penny. My wine glasses are "Palm" and they were purchased from Home Goods. The Americana Boxes at the center of the table are from LTD Commodities, they normally sit atop a cabinet in my office which is Americana themed. The red, white and blue stars are from Michaels. I had all the items on this table in my home already, I didn't purchase anything new, and I just "shopped" around my house. I hope you enjoy my table and reflect on all the sacrifices of our military past and present.

French Country Flower Tin

I made this lovely French country arrangement by filling a tin bucket with Burgundy and White Rhinoculous, accented with Burgundy Forget Me Nots. The tin bucket is about 12"high, the flowers extend up to about 27" high by about 18" wide. This is a very sweet arrangement and looks adorable in my guest bedroom.

I'm participating in Talented Tuesday hosted by My Frugal Family please be sure to stop by and say hi to Heather!

Tablescape Thursday

Hello, Welcome to Tablescape Thursday hosted by Between Naps On The Porch. Please visit Susan at her blog for a list of participants. You might want to make a cup of coffee because you will have so many beautiful tablescapes to look at.

My Rooster Tablescape

I love layering my red scallop dinner plates from JC Penney with my square rooster plates found at TJ Maxx. The white salad plate is also from JC Penny and the sweet little rooster shape dishes where bought from Home Goods.

The rooster on the center of the table is sitting atop one of my red scallop dinner plates with a matching red scallop bowl underneath it to give some added height. This is an easy, inexpensive way to make a cake/plate stand to match your table setting.

I am so happy you stopped by to view my Tablescape. Thank you for your kind comments. Come back soon for another visit!
